Cables and fly leads should be:
- Straight, with no kinks, bends, or exposed wires
- Not too long
- In good condition
- Have a tight connection
Cables that connect your TV to your antenna should be a quad-shield coaxial cable (type RG6), to meet Australian standards.
If you have a connector or splitter to split signal from your antenna to two or more televisions, be mindful that this will reduce the signal level and may impact reception quality.
